Tanzania's leading domestic airline, Precision Air, is set to relaunch flights between Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) in Dar es Salaam and Entebbe International Airport (EBB) in Entebbe in Uganda on 01 July 2017. The airline plans to operate four flights per week with two nonstop flights from Dar es Salaam to Entebbe and two services routing via Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)*. Tickets sale is expected to commence on 10 March 2017. Precision Air suspended flights to Entebbe back in 2013.
* Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) serves the cities of Arusha and Moshi.

Tanzania: Etihad Airways & Precision Air signed codeshare agreement!
The national airline of the United Arab Emirates, Etihad Airways, and Tanzania's leading domestic airline, Precision Air, have signed a new codeshare agreement. Under the new codeshare agreement, Etihad Airways will place its "EY" code on Precision Air flights between Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro, Mwanza, Mtwara, Nairobi, Zanzibar, Pemba, and between Nairobi and Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar.
Precision Air will place its "PW" code on Etihad Airways' daily services between Dar es Salaam and Abu Dhabi. Passengers will be able to book flights from 21 December 2016 for travel from 11 January 2017 onwards.

Precision Air to resume flights to the Comoros!
Precision Air, a Tanzanian airline based at Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) in Dar es Salaam (Tanzania), is set to resume operations between its main hub in Tanzania's capital and Prince Said Ibrahim International Airport (HAH) in Hahaya in the Comoros on 16 August 2016. The airline will operate three flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between the two destinations. A strategy review, which also involved route rationalisation, lead to the suspenstion of Precision Air's flights to the Comoros in 2014. Prince Said Ibrahim International Airport (HAH) will be the airline's second regional destination after Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) in Nairobi.

Tanzania: Precision Air to launch flights to Pemba Island!
Tanzanian airline Precision Air is set to launch scheduled flights to Zanzibar's exotic Island of Pemba. Effective 24 May 2016, the airline will operate three flights per week between Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) in Dar es Salaam and Pemba Airport (PMA) on Pemba Island. The scheduled flights follow Zanzibar Airport Authority's (ZAA) upgrading of Pemba Airport to category four status that meets the international standards required for commercial flight operations.

Tanzania: Precision Air to re-introduce flights between Dar es Salaam <> Musoma!
Tanzanian airline Precision Air has with immediate effect re-introduced flights between Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) in Dar es Salaam and Musoma Airport (MUZ) in Musoma in Tanzania's Mara Region. The airline initially operates three flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between the two destinations. Precision Air suspended flights to Musoma about two years ago due to poor conditions of the runway. Tanzania Airports Authority (TAA) has since then made improvements to the airport infrastructure, which made the airline come back to the airport. Musoma is located on the eastern edge of Lake Victoria, close to the International borders of Tanzania with Kenya and Uganda.

Tanzania: Precision Air reopened domestic flights Dar es Salaam <> Tabora!
Tanzanian airline Precision Air has reopened domestic flights between Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) in Dar es Salaam and the newly renovated Tabora Airport (TBO) in Tabora on 15 May 2015. The airline operates three weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between the two destinations. On its way back from Tabora to Dar es Salaam, Precision Air makes a short stopover at Kigoma Airport (TKQ) in Kigoma. Precision Air suspended flights to Tabora, located in west-central Tanzania, in 2009 due to unfavourable airport conditions.

Precision Air set to increase domestic flights in Tanzania; suspends flights to Entebbe (Uganda)
Tanzania's largest airline, Precision Air, just announced that it will increase frequencies on three major routes and that it will cancel its operations between Dar es Salaam and Entebbe in Uganda. Effective 16 March 2014, Precision Air will operate five instead of four flights per week between Dar es Salaam <> Kilimanjaro, three instead of two flights per week between Kilimanjaro <> Zanzibar and ten instead of daily flights to Mtwara in southeastern Tanzania. Also effectice 16 March 2014, the airline will temporarily suspend its operations between Dar es Salaam <> Entebbe (Uganda). Passengers booked on Precision Air flights on 16 March or later will be transferred to Precision Air's codeshare partner Air Uganda or Kenya Airways. Passengers, who decide to cancel the flights, will be refunded immediately. Please contact Precision Air for further information!

Precision Air (Tanzania) & Air Uganda (Uganda) sign codeshare agreement
According to news reports from East Africa, Tanzania's largest airline, Precision Air, and Air Uganda, a privately owned airline from Uganda, have signed a codeshare agreement. Under the agreement, which is in effect since the beginning of January 2014, the two carriers work hand in hand on the Dar es Salaam (DAR) <> Entebbe (EBB) and Kilimanjaro (JRO) <> Entebbe (EBB) routes. Customers can book Precision Air flights through Air Uganda or vice versa. We'll keep you posted as soon as the airlines provide the public with further information.

Precision Air to launch flights Dar Es Salaam <> Harare (Zimbabwe)
According to news reports, Tanzanian airline Precision Air will launch flights between Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania and Zimbabwe's capital Harare in December 2012. Tanzania's largest airline will be operating three weekly flights between the two destinations on board a Boeing 737-300.
Precision Air is a public listed Tanzanian airline and is currently providing scheduled flight services to over 17 destinations within and outside Tanzania from its main hub Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar Es Salaam. Other hubs of the airline are at Kilimanjaro International Airport and Mwanza Airport in Tanzania.

Precision Air to cancel Dar Es Salaam <> Johannesburg service
Tanzania's largest airline, Precision Air, has announced that it will cancel its four fligths per week between Dar Es Salaam and Johannesburg (via Zanzibar) on 17 September 2012. According to the airline, the decision to discontinue operating the service was made in order to enhance Precision Air's domestic operations in Tanzania. The airline will make arrangements for customers who purchased tickets to fly after 17 September 2012 to reach their final destinations through other airline partners.

Tanzania: Precision Air to change Dar Es Salaam <> Johannesburg schedule
Tanzania's largest airline Precision Air will change its schedule on the Dar Es Salaam <> Johannesburg route. From 01 July 2012 the current afternoon/night-time service will move to day-time and one of the four weekly flights will operate via Zanzibar on inbound flight (Johannesburg > Zanzibar > Dar Es Salaam).

Tanzania: Precision Air extends network to Lusaka (Zambia)
update (08 June 2012): Precision Air has postponed the launch of its proposed Dar Es Salaam – Lubumbashi – Lusaka, which should have started operation on 18 May 2012, to 22 June 2012.
Tanzania's largest airline Precision Air has announced the start of its operations to Lubumbashi (DR Congo) and through to Lusaka (Zambia) effective 18 May 2012.
The airline will fly the new route using its newly leased Boeing 737-300. Flights will depart Dar Es Salaam at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The flight duration is 2hrs. Precision Air also announced plans to commence flight to Angola later in the year as the projected growth takes root with more frequencies and more destinations.

Precision Air to launch flights between Dar Es Salaam <> Harare via Lilongwe
update (11 June 2012): Precision Air over the weekend announced that its planned new routes to Lilongwe (Malawi) and Harare (Zimbabwe) would only begin "in August this year" instead of 03 July 2012 as originally planned as the airline intends to await the arrival of more aircraft prior to servicing the new routes.

Precision Air to resume Dar Es Salaam <> Joburg service on Thursdays
Tanzania's largest private airline, Precision Air, announced that it will resume the weekly flight service between Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania and Johannesburg in South Africa on Thursdays effective from 17 Nov 2011. The airline acutally stopped operating the weekly flight service on Thursdays only last month.
Flights will depart Dar Es Salaam at 20:20, arriving in Johannesburg at 22:50. The return flight will depart Johannesbirg at 23:50, arriving in Dar Es Salaam at 04:20.

Precision Air launched flights between Dar Es Salaam <> Johannesburg
Precision Air, Tanzania's largest airline, started a four-weekly service between Dar Es Salaam and Johannesburg's O.R Tambo International Airport in South Africa on 24 August 2011. The airline is flying on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between the two destinations. The flights are operated by a new Boeing 737-300 which can carry up to 116 passengers in business class and economy class.
