Tanzanian airline Precision Air is set to launch scheduled flights to Zanzibar's exotic Island of Pemba. Effective 24 May 2016, the airline will operate three flights per week between Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) in Dar es Salaam and Pemba Airport (PMA) on Pemba Island. The scheduled flights follow Zanzibar Airport Authority's (ZAA) upgrading of Pemba Airport to category four status that meets the international standards required for commercial flight operations.
