Air Tanzania relaunched its scheduled domestic service

Air Tanzania, the national airline of Tanzania, relaunched its scheduled domestic service on the 18 May 2012, with the use of its recently acquired Boeing 737-500. Initially the airline will operate flights between Dar es Salaam, Mwanza and Kilimanjaro. The new plane is capable of carrying 108 passengers, 12 passengers in the first class and 96 passengers in the economy class.
According to Air Tanzania's Acting Director General Paul Chizi, the airline is expecting to add some more flights to Lusaka (Zambia), Harare (Zimbabwe) and to the Comoros Island before going to Dubai in three months’ time.
