South Africa's budget airline Mango will commence flights from Johannesburg's Lanseria Airport to Cape Town from 01 June 2011. Bookings are open from 03 May 2011, 10:00am.
Mango is only the second low cost carrier to operate out of Lanseria and will run three daily flights to Cape Town and return.
Because of a five-year exclusivity agreement between Lanseria and Kulula Airlines operator, Comair, a British Airways franchisee, budget airline Kulula is currently the only airline to use the airport. South Africa's third budget airline 1time is about to follow Kulula and Mango and will start flights from Lanseria in the third quarter of 2011.
Mango is currently offering 15000 seats from R495.00 one way, all inclusive between Lanseria and Cape Town. The special fare flights are on sale until 31 May 2011 for travel between June, July and August. The offer excludes group bookings, long weekends,special events, peak periods and school holidays Bookings are available on a first come, first served basis.
