Austrian Airlines to temporarily introduce additional flights between Vienna <> Cape Town! [update]

update (15 August 2019): According to ETNW, Austrian Airlines will increase its service between Vienna and Cape Town from two to three weekly flights from 25 December 2019 to 07 January 2020 and from 23 January 2020 to 18 February 2020.

update (18 July 2019): According to aviation specialists RoutesOnline, Austrian Airlines will increase its service between Vienna and Cape Town from two to three weekly flights from 25 December 2019 to 18 March 2020, on board Boeing 777-200ER.

Austrian Airlines, the flag carrier of Austria and a subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group, will increase flights between Vienna International Airport (VIE) in Vienna and Cape Town International Airport (CPT) in Cape Town from in the Northern winter season 2019/20. The airline will offer a third weekly flight from 25 December 2019 to 07 January 2020 and from 23 January 2020 to 18 February 2020. In the Northern winter season 2018/19, Austrian Airlines also temporarily introduced a third weekly flight between Vienna and Cape Town, but only during the Christmas and New Year period.

Austrian Airlines has launched seasonal flights between Vienna <> Cape Town!

The flag carrier of Austria, Austrian Airlines, has launched scheduled flights between Vienna International Airport (VIE) in Vienna, Austria, and Cape Town International Airport (CPT) in Cape Town on 27 October 2018. The airline operates two flights per week in the European winter flight schedule on the route connecting Vienna with the city on the Cape Peninsula. The flights are  operated with a Boeing 777 aircraft with a seating capacity for 306 people. Flight service from Vienna to Cape Town is offered on Tuesdays and Saturdays and on Wednesdays and Sundays from Cape Town to Vienna.

Austrian Airlines to launch a seasonal service between Vienna <> Cape Town!

The flag carrier of Austria, Austrian Airlines, is set to launch scheduled direct flights between Vienna International Airport (VIE) in Vienna and Cape Town International Airport (CPT) in Cape Town. Effective 27 October 2018, the airline will operate two weekly flights on board a Boeing 777 on the new route. Austrian Airlines, a subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group, will offer the new service between Austria and South Africa only during the Northern Winter season.

Ethiopian Airlines to launch flights to Vienna (Austria)

Ethiopia's flag carrier, Ethiopian Airlines, just announced that it will soon launch flights between Addis Ababa Bole International Airport (ADD) in Addis Ababa and Vienna International Airport (VIE) in Vienna, Austria. Starting on 02 June 2014, the airline will operate four weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays between the two destinations. The new route is scheduled in a way that it provides convenient connections, with minimum layover in Addis Ababa, to 48 destinations in Africa. Thru commercial cooperation with Austrian Airlines, like Ethiopian Airlines a Star Alliance member, the new route also provides convenient connectivity options for travelers between Africa and European cities such Prague, Bratislava, Warsaw, Budapest, and Bucharest, subject to regulatory approval. Vienna is Ethiopian Airlines' ninth destination in Europa and its 80th worldwide.

Condor to launch direct flights from Munich (Germany) and Vienna (Austria) to Mombasa

update (08 Nov 2013): Condor launched its seasonal Mombasa service on 05 November 2013. The airline operates its flights to Kenya from Munich via Vienna (Austria) to Mombasa

German airline Condor (Condor Flugdienst) announced that it will launch direct flights from Munich (Germany) and Vienna (Austria) to Mombasa in Kenya during the upcoming (Northern) winter season 2013/14. The airline will operate one return flight per week between Germany's second largest airport in Munich and Mombasa from 24 December 2013 and one weekly return flight from Austria's capital Vienna to Mombasa from 25 December 2013.
