Ethiopian Airlines to launch flights to Vienna (Austria)
Ethiopia's flag carrier, Ethiopian Airlines, just announced that it will soon launch flights between Addis Ababa Bole International Airport (ADD) in Addis Ababa and Vienna International Airport (VIE) in Vienna, Austria. Starting on 02 June 2014, the airline will operate four weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays between the two destinations. The new route is scheduled in a way that it provides convenient connections, with minimum layover in Addis Ababa, to 48 destinations in Africa. Thru commercial cooperation with Austrian Airlines, like Ethiopian Airlines a Star Alliance member, the new route also provides convenient connectivity options for travelers between Africa and European cities such Prague, Bratislava, Warsaw, Budapest, and Bucharest, subject to regulatory approval. Vienna is Ethiopian Airlines' ninth destination in Europa and its 80th worldwide.
