Kenya Airways to discontinue flights to Hong Kong & Hanoi!

Kenya's flag carrier, Kenya Airways, will discountinue flights to Hong Kong and Hanoi (Vietnam) from 29 October 2017 to optimize its route network. This move will allow the airline to operate with a better schedule to Asia with a daily flight to Bangkok (Thailand) and Guangzhou (China). Kenya Airways will continue to serve Hong Kong and Hanoi through its partners.

Kenya Airways to become the first & only airline to link Vietnam directly to Africa!

Kenya's flag carrier, Kenya Airways, is set to launch a brandnew service between Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) and Noi Bai International Airport (HAN) Hanoi (Vietnam). Effective 30 March 2015, the airline will operate three weekly flights on board a Boeing 787 Dreamliner between the two destiantions. Kenya Airways will become the first and only airline to link Vietnam directly to Africa.

Al Jazeera documentary "The Last Rhino" (47 min)

In the well compiled documentary "The Last Rhino" Al Jazeera's correspondent Jonah Hull investigates how South Africa became the epicentre of rhino poaching in the world. He travels around South Africa, Mozambique and Vietnam and interviews conservationists such as Dr Joseph Okori (WWF, African Rhino Manager), Tom Milliken (Traffic, Director East, Southern Africa) and Dr Ian Player (Founder of The Wilderness Foundation), as well as Major Jack Greeff of the Anti Poaching Intelligence Group Southern Africa and Kobus de Velt, a manager of a CIS unit in the Kruger National Park. While in Mozambique, Hull speaks to members of a familiy of a killed poacher, to an "influential business man" and to an alleged poacher. Towards the end of the documentary Hull visits the game farm of South Africa's largest private rhino breeder, John Hume, and interviews him about his motives. All in all a very interesting, but shocking documentary. Kudos at Jonah Hull, Clifford Bestall and Al Jazeera.

Kenya Airways signs code share agreement with Vietnam Airlines

The national carrier of Kenya, Kenya Airways, and the national flag carrier of Vietnam, Vietnam Airlines, have signed a code share agreement. The two airlines, which are both members of the SkyTeam alliance, are currently activating a reciprocal code share agreement. 
Under the agreement with Vietnam Airlines, Kenya Airways passengers will be able to travel from Nairobi via Bangkok (Thailand) on to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam and vice versa daily. While Vietnam Airlines will code share on daily Kenya Airways service between Bangkok and Nairobi. 
Kenya Airways is currently flying to 59 destinations worldwide, 47 of which are in Africa and carries over three million passengers annually.
