The flag carrier of the United Kingdom, British Airways, will, with effect from 31 March 2013, cancel its three weekly service between London and Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania after about four decades of service. According to the airline, it is suspending operations to Dar Es Salaam because the fligths are not making a profitable contribution to business anymore. Customers booked on flights with British Airways between London <> Dar Es Salaam after 31 March 2013 will be offered a full refund or will be rebooked onto flights to or from Nairobi (Kenya), Entebbe (Uganda) or Lusaka (Zambia).
