According to Tourism Update, Limpopo Wildlife Resorts (LWR) will not be charging entrance fees to its provincial parks during Wildlife Mahala Week from 19 to 23 September 2011 (daily between 06h00 and 18h00). The campaign is part of this month' Tourism Month celebrations in South Africa, which are aimed to promote domestic tourism. International visitors should keep that in mind when visiting the parks in Limpopo during the week. Some parks might occasionally be pretty full or even fully booked.
All provincial nature reserves and resorts will take part in the Wildlife Mahala Week. They include Nwanedi, Acacia, Mphephu, Makuya, Nylsvley, D’nyala, Schuinsdraai, Doorndraai Dam, Lekgalameetse, Rust de Winter, and Shona-Langa.
Please also keep in mind, that only the entrance will be free, other activities, including accommodation, game drives, angling, water tubing and boat cruises will be charged at the usual fee.
