update: According to news website Eyewitness News, Air Zimbabwe's booking office yesterday night (16 June) insisted that today’s (17 June) two flights to Johannesburg would go ahead as normal.
Zimbabwe's flag carrier Air Zimbabwe had to cancel flights to London and South Africa on Wednesday (15 June) and Thursday (16 June) due to financial problems. The troubled airline wasn't able to pay its fuel suppliers who demanded cash payment up front until the carrier has settled debts of more than $1.5 million. Air Zimbabwe's domestic flights seem currently not affected, but according to sources from Bulawayo and Victoria Falls, mentioned in a report by "Voice of America", the situation could change. Would you still fly with Air Zimbabwe?
