update (11 March 2022): Qatar Airways will resume its service to Windhoek from 25 June 2022. The airline will operate three weekly non-stop flights to and from Windhoek's Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) via Hamad International Airport (DOH) in Doha flown by the state-of-the-art Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner offering 22 seats in Business Class and 232 seats in Economy Class.
Qatar Airways flight QR1373, will depart from Hamad International Airport (DOH) at 01:45, arriving at 09:50 to Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH). Qatar Airways flight QR1374, will depart from Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) at 13:20, and arrive to Hamad International Airport (DOH) at 23:00.
According to a tweet by the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), the state-owned flag carrier of Qatar, Qatar Airways, will resume direct flights between Hamad International Airport (DOH) in Doha and Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) in Windhoek in June 2022. The news emerged during a meeting between Namibia's President Hage Geingob and the Group CEO of Qatar Airways and Secretary-General of Qatar Tourism, Akbar Al-Baker, in Doha. Qatar Airways suspended flights between Doha and Windhoek due to the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. Prior to the pandemic, the airline operated four weekly return flights to Namibia.
