The Government of the Republic of Seychelles has revised its advisory that restricted travel from South Africa, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia and Zimbabwe to curb the spread of the Omicron variant of Covid-19 on 06 January 2022. The national airline of the island nation, Air Seychelles, is set to resume commercial passenger services between the Seychelles and South Africa on 11 January 2022. The airline will operate one weekly flight between Seychelles International Airport (SEZ), located on the island of Mahé near the capital city of Victoria, and OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg.
