According to a travel update by Emirates, United Arab Emirates (UAE) authorities have announced that effective 05 August 2021 “eligible customers” from South Africa
and Zambia will be allowed to transit in Dubai and "eligible" travellers
from Uganda will be allowed to travel to/through the UAE. It is
currently not known what the "eligible" criteria will be. We'll keep you posted!
According to an earlier announcement by the airline, the South Africa route suspension remains in place until 07 August 2021. Daily passenger flights to OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg will operate as EK763, however, outbound passenger services on EK 764 remain suspended.
