South African National Parks (SANParks) has announced the re-opening of Deer Park in the Northern Section of Cape Town's Table Mountain National Park, which has been closed off to the public since April 2021 following a fire that started in the Rhodes Memorial area. The rehabilitation work has been successfully completed and the contractor was appointed to fell and remove dangerous trees. The Rhodes memorial/Estate and Game Camp will still remain closed until further notice and the contractor has started with the tree felling process.
