Malawi has relaxed the requirements for travellers intending to visit the country with immediate effect (27 August 2021). Travellers are no longer required to obtain a waiver from the Ministry of Health, but are required to present a negative PCR Covid-19 test result done not more than 72 hours before arrival in Malawi. Travellers are also required to follow the Covid-19 prevention and control regulations and rules as guided by the Presidential Task Fore on Covid-19 during his/her stay in Malawi. The requirement for quarantine for travellers originating from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Brazil has been removed as there countries are no longer considered high risk.
