update (08 July 2020): According to "The Namibian" (online edition, 08 July 2020), Air Namibia's ASL has been suspended due to the airlines's financial status and safety concerns, among others. The airline is still allowed to undertake humanitarian evacuation and repatriation flights during the State of Emergency in Namibia.
According to a tweet by the Namibian Sun, a daily tabloid newspaper in Namibia, the Transportation Commission of Namibia within Namibia's Ministry of Works and Transport (MWT) has suspended Air Namibia's Air Service Licence (ASL) due safety concerns. The suspension is effective from today (08 July 2020) until 22 July 2020. We have contacted Air Namibia for further information on the suspension. We will keep you updated!
