Zimbabwe: President Mnangagwa announced 2018 elections date!

Zimbabwe's President, Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, has proclaimed 30 July 2018 as the date for the general election to choose the President, National Assembly members and Councillors. The election will be Zimbabwe's first since independence in 1980 without long-time ruler and former president Robert Mugabe. President Mnangagwa also fixed 08 September 2018 as the date for the Presidential election run-off in the event that it is required.
