Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, announced changes to its daily Johannesburg flight schedule, as well as the end of its Cape Town service via Johannesburg, effective as of 24 January 2012.
Etihad Airways is from January 2012 on providing new morning and evening departure options from both Abu Dhabi and Johannesburg, so that the airline can offer it's Johannesburg passengers a better and more optimised connection to Etihad Airways’ global network.
Along with the new schedule between Johannesburg and Abu Dhabi, Etihad will stop operating flights through to Cape Town. The airline is currently in talks with local carriers to serve the Cape Town market. We'll keep you posted!
