South African Airways to streamline service to Washington, D.C.!
South Africa's flag carrier, South African Airways, will adjust its service between OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg and Dulles International Airport IAD) in Washington, D.C.. As of 05 September 2019, the airline will operate all flights to and from Washington, D.C. via Kotoka International Airport (ACC) in Accra (Ghana). The routing via Blaise Diagne International Airport (DSS) in Dakar (Senegal) will be terminated. South African Airways will also increase the service via Accra from the current five to seven weekly fligths. The flights will be operated on board a mix of Airbus A330-200 and Airbus A330-300 aircraft. South African Airways' last flight via Dakar will be operated on 01 September 2019.

South African Airways & JetBlue (USA) entered into a bilateral codeshare agreement
(update 18 Dec 2013): South African Airways' codeshare partner JetBlue issued a press release on 16 Dec 2013, in which the airline announces the begin of the codeshare operations of the two airlines.
South Africa's flag carrier, South African Airways, and US airline JetBlue have entered into a bilateral codeshare agreement to seamlessly connect the carriers' networks via New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Washington's Dulles International Airport (IAD). The partnership is an expansion of an interline agreement first inked in 2010 and will allow customers to purchase a single ticket combining South African Airways- and JetBlue-operated flights.
JetBlue Airways intends to place its "B6" code on South African Airways-operated flights between the US and both Johannesburg, South Africa, and Dakar, Senegal, as well as on connecting flights to select destinations beyond Johannesburg, including Cape Town, Durban, East London and Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Tickets will be available for sale as soon as authorities in the US and South Africa have approved the agreement between the two airines.
South African Airways has had a similar arrangement in place with JetBlue Airways since 2011, placing its "SA" code on JetBlue-operated flights from its US gateways to top destinations including Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Fort Lauderdale and Orlando.

South African Airways and Porter Airlines (Canada) signed new interline agreement
Great news for all travellers who are looking to travel between Canada and Africa. Canada-based Porter Airlines and South African Airways (SAA) announced a new interline agreement, which allows travellers to purchase tickets and access easy connections between 12 Porter Airlines' Canadian destinations and South African Airways’s 44 African destinations via Washington, DC (Dulles). The agreement took effect on 17 September 2012, with tickets between the two airlines now available for purchase.

G Adventures: New sailing trips to West Africa departing from Cape Town
Adventure travel company G Adventures announced its first sailing holidays along the West African coastline aboard the M/S Expedition.
Passengers can choose from three itineraries, of which two are departing from Cape Town in South Africa, that visit more than 10 African nations in April 2013.

G Adventures new Africa tours are among the first of their kind in the region, with ports of call including Ghana, Senegal, Benin, Cameroon and Togo.
All itineraries boast a solid combination of activity and leisure. Passengers have time to spot rare birds and wildlife with skilled naturalists, visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites and the birthplace of voodoo, trace the roots of slavery, and learn about the region from the experienced expedition staff, including historians, anthropologists and ornithologists.
Passengers will also explore unreachable coastlines, and visit uninhabited islands and traditional villages. A notable highlight is the opportunity to discover the Bijagos Archipelago off the coast of Guinea-Bissau. The island is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and is one of the most unexplored places on earth.
The 140-passenger M/S Expedition features large cabins equipped with en-suite bathrooms and windows, providing an exceptionally spacious and comfortable experience for all guests.
