Angolan privately owned airline Fly Angola is set to resume operations next month. The airline, which temporarily canceled all operations in August 2023 due to economic and operational constraints, will initially operate four weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays between Quatro de Fevereiro International Airport (LAD) in Luanda and São Tomé International Airport (TMS) on São Tomé Island, about five kilometres from the city of São Tomé. This will be Fly Angola's first regional route. The airline previously only operated domestic flights in Angola. Fly Angola will commence operations between Luanda and São Tomé on 29 February 2024. South Africa: Travellers from four new countries have been granted visa-free status! [update]
update (08 October 2019): According to an article on businesstech.co.za, South Africa's government recently also waived visas for travellers from Cuba, Ghana and Sao Tome and Principe.
South Africa's Minister of Home Affairs, Aaron Motsoaledi, has announced that nationals from four of the seven countries he granted visa-free status during his Budget Vote speech in July 2019 are now able to travel to South Africa without visas. Effective today (15 August 2019), travellers from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and New Zealand no longer require a visa to visit South Africa for holidays, conferencing and business meeting visits. Visa waivers for Ghana, Cuba and Principe and Sao Tome will be implemented after negotiations with these countries have been concluded. The Department of Home Affairs (DHA) is scheduled to complete these negotiations by the end of August 2019 and the implementation will follow soon thereafter. We'll keep you posted!

South Africa waives visa requirements for seven countries including New Zealand! [update]
update (12 July 2019): South Africa is currently in talks with the seven countries regarding the implementation date for visa-free access to South Africa as well as reciprocity. According to BusinessTech, talks are expected to be concluded by September 2019. We'll keep you posted!

According to the Minister, the Deparment of Home Affairs (DHA) will with immediate effect enter into discussions with these seven countries about how a visa-free regime will work. South Africa updates yellow-fever requirements
All travellers arriving into South Africa from Zambia, Tanzania, Eritrea, Somalia as well as from Sao Tome and Principe will no longer have to produce a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate when they arrive in South Africa. All five countries have recently been declared as "low risk yellow fever countries" by the World Health Organisation (WHO). Yellow fever is a tropical virus disease that can affect the liver and kidneys, causing fever and jaundice and is often fatal. It is transmitted by mosquitoes.
