South African National Parks (SANParks) management of Augrabies National Park has confirmed that unleaded fuel (95) is still not available inside the National Park. For the time being, SANParks recommends travellers to refuel their vehicles outside the Augrabies National Park at the the petrol stations in Augrabies or Kakamas (see map below). Unleaded fuel (95) is not available inside the National Park since early September 2024. We'll keep you posted!
Augrabies National Park is located in the South Africa's Northern Cape, near the town of Kakamas. It is centered around the Augrabies Falls, a spectacular 56-meter waterfall on the Orange River. The park covers an area of about 820 km² and is known for its rugged landscapes, unique ecosystems, and dramatic granite formations.
