South African National Parks (SANParks) has announced that the Tokai Forest picnic site in the Table Mountain National Park in Cape Town is currently closed until further notice due to the water supply disruption resulting in the ablution facilities being out of service. Cyclists are advised to make use of the parking area in the picnic site to fulfill their activities. SANParks encourages visitors to make use of other alternatives in the Table Mountain National Park such as the Newlands, Oudekraal, and Silvermine picnic areas.
The Tokai Forest picnic site is situated within the larger Tokai Forest area, which is part of the Table Mountain National Park and about 20 kilometers south of Cape Town's city center. The site is easily accessible by car, and there is ample parking available. The main entrance is at Tokai Road, off the M3 highway.
