update (09 April 2021): Emirates’ flights from South Africa will remain suspended until 22 April 2021, in line with government directives that restrict the entry of travellers originating from South Africa, into the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The largest airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the flag carrier of the Emirate of Dubai, Emirates, has announced that passenger flights from South Africa will remain suspended until 08 April 2021. This is in line with the directives by the Government of the UAE that restrict the entry of travellers originating from South Africa into the United Arab Emirates.
Emirates' daily passenger flights to OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg will operate as EK763, however outbound passenger services on EK 764 remain suspended. Customers who have been to or connected through South Africa in the last 14 days will not be permitted on any Emirates flights bound for Dubai. We'll keep you posted!
