update (08 April 2021): Emirates flights from South Africa
will remain suspended until 15 April 2021, in line with government
directives that restrict the entry of travellers originating from South
Africa into the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The largest airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the flag carrier of the Emirate of Dubai, Emirates, has announced that passenger flights from South Africa will remain suspended until 20 March 2021. This is in line with the directives by the Government of the UAE that restrict the entry of travellers originating from South Africa into the United Arab Emirates. Daily passenger flights from Dubai International Airport (DXB) in Dubai to OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg will resume from 11 March 2021 and will operate as EK763, however outbound passenger services on EK 764 remain suspended.
