Coronavirus pandemic: Namibia extends the lockdown and enforces it countrywide!

Namibia's President Hage Geingob announced in a televised address to the nation on 14 April 2020 not only that the lockdown to contain the spread of the coronavirus has been extended until midnight on 04 May 2020, but also that the restrictions on movements, which previously applied to the Khomas region (including Windhoek), the Erongo region (including Swakopmund and Walvis Bay) as well as the towns of Okahandja and Rehoboth, will be enforced countrywide. Namibia has 16 confirmed cases (as of 15 Apri 2020) of the coronavirus with no report of new infections for the past week.
