CapeNature's De Mond Nature Reserve in the Western Cape is currently closed due to fires in the area. The World Heritage Site is located at the mouth of the Heuningnes River. It lies about 26km south-east of Bredasdorp on the south-western Cape coast, between Arniston and Struisbaai. The reserves covers an area of 954 hectares and is a popular spot for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts.
