Kenya's flag carrier, Kenya Airways, will reduce the number of flights between Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) in Nairobi and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York from the current seven to five a week effective 15 January 2019. The flights will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. According to a statement by Kenya Airways, the airline remains strongly committed to the New York route and will continue to offer non-stop services between Kenya and the USA. Kenya Airways launched its service between Nairobi and New York on 28 October 2018.
