South Africa's most punctual domestic airlines in October 2018!

Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) has published the on-time performance results of domestic airlines’ flying out of OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg, Cape Town International Airport (CPT) in Cape Town and Durban's King Shaka International Airport (DUR) in October 2018.
On-Time Performance is measured by comparing the actual off-block time (when aircraft pushes back) against the airline schedule time for a departing flight. The measurement is done in accordance with the IATA (International Airlines Transport Association) universal standard benchmark with considers a 15 minute deviation from the scheduled time as an on-time departure.

Ethiopian Airlines: Flight from Addis Ababa to Los Angeles to transit via Lome in Togo!

Ethiopia's flag carrier, Ethiopian Airlines, announced that it has changed the ultra-long haul route from Bole International Airport (ADD) in Addis Ababa to Los Angeles International Airpor (LAX) in Los Angeles to transit through Tokoin International Airport (LFW) in Lome, Togo as of 17 December 2018 and will start new route from Addis Ababa to Dublin Airport (DUB) in Dublin via Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport (MAD) in Madrid as of 15 December 2018. 
The new route, which be operated on board the most technologically advanced Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, will be the only and first of its kind to connect West Africa with the West Coast of the USA with a direct flight.

Namibia Tourism Board released a new official tourism video!

The Namibia Tourism Board (NTB), the regulatory and marketing body for tourism activities in Namibia, has released a brand new tourism video for Namibia. The 2:30 minute video highlights a good selection of the country's main tourist attractions. Unfortunately, the NTB did not release any more information regarding the new film. 


Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency has increased tariffs for its Nature Reserves!

The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA), the governmental organisation responsible for maintaining wilderness areas and public nature reserves in Mpumalanga, has introduced new increased tariffs for its 15 nature reserves across the province on 01 November 2018. The tariffs, which include entry and accommodation fees, will continue to be charged in South African rand (ZAR) and are VAT inclusive.
