CNN named the "
World's 100 best beaches" and listed 8 beaches in
South Africa (three),
Madagascar,
Malawi,
Mozambique,
Kenya and
Zanzibar (each one) among those. Now the news network named, in cooperation with "
Surfing Magazine" and with contributions from from pro surfers and their own experiences, the "World's 50 best surf spots". The lucky winner is not in Africa, but
Supertubes in
Jeffrey's Bay in
South Africa came in second in the ranking of the World's 50 best surf spots". Congratulations!

The best right-hand ride in the world, according to our panel of Surfing Magazine editors, Jeffrey's Bay offers long, fast barrels off an intense point break.
The bay is divided into sections, so there are plenty of choices -- Kitchen Windows, Magna Tubes, Boneyards and, gnarliest of all, Supertubes.
