update (06 October 2025): According to ESPN cricinfo (on 25 August 2025), the (Fale) Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium in Victoria Falls is scheduled to be ready by August 2026 and is expected to host matches in the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup. The website further reports that the stadium has already had the main pitch planted, irrigation installed, and grass embankments completed. Work is now being done on the players' pavilion and media centre, as well as with the water and power supply infrastructure.
update (22 August 2025): The Cabinet of Zimbabwe reported in early August 2025 that construction of the Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium in Victoria Falls is progressing well, with the media centre and training pitch now 50 percent and 40 percent complete, respectively.
update (21 March 2025): Earlier this month, the Zimbabwe Cricket Managing Director, Givemore Makoni, announced significant progress at the Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium in Victoria Falls. Most of the groundwork has been completed. The new stadium is set to be finished in time for the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup.
update (22 July 2024): Construction has begun on the Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium in Victoria Falls. According to Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) managing director Givemore Makoni has confirmed that civil works, including water works and fencing, are underway.

Zimbabwe is set to build a new multi-purpose stadium in Victoria Falls. According to the 14th post-cabinet briefing 2024, Zimbabwe Cricket, the national governing body for competitive cricket in Zimbabwe, was allocated 10 hectares of land for the construction of an (international cricket) stadium and ancillary facilities in the Masuwe Special Economic Zone for Tourism in Victoria Falls. The new stadium will be used in the hosting of the 2026 ICC Under-19 Men's Cricket World Cup, which will be held in Zimbabwe and Namibia, and the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup, scheduled to be played in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia. According to news repots from Zimbabwe, the country's President Emerson Mnangagwa is expected to lay the foundation stone on the site of the new stadium on 23 May 2024. The stadium is expected to be completed in August 2025. The venue will seat 10,000 and will also be able to host other sports such as rugby, tennis, hockey, and squash We'll keep you posted!
