Namibian privately-owned passenger airline FlyWestair has announced that it will increase its domestic frequencies between Eros Airport (ERS) in Windhoek and Andimba Toivo Ya Toivo Airport (OND) in Ondangwa in the Oshana Region of northern Namibia. Effective 28 April 2021, the airline will operate five instead of the current four weekly flights to Ondangwa. Flights will then be operated on Tuesdays, Wednesdays (new), Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Namibia: FlyWestair to increase flights between Windhoek <> Ondangwa!
Namibian privately-owned passenger airline FlyWestair has announced the introduction of additional flights between Eros Airport (ERS) in Windhoek and Andimba Toivo Ya Toivo Airport (OND) in Ondangwa in the Oshana Region of northern Namibia. Effective 15 March 2021, the airline will operate four instead of the current two weekly return flights to Ondangwa. Flights will then be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Namibia: NAC to rename Ondangwa Airport (OND)!
The Namibia Airports Company (NAC) is in the process of renaming Ondangwa Airport (OND) in Ondangwa in the Oshana Region of Namibia. The new name of the airport will be Herman Andimba Toivo ya Toivo Airport. Herman Andimba Toivo ya Toivo (1924 - 2017) was a Namibian anti-apartheid activist and politician who served in various senior government positions, such as Minister of Mines and Energy (1990 - 1999), Minister of Labour (1999 - 2002) and Minister of Prisons and Correctional Services (2002 - 2006). The official renaming ceremony will take place on 22 August 2019.
