The national airline of the Republic of Zambia, Zambia Airways, is set to launch direct flights to the city of Kasama in Zambia's Northern Province. The airline will operate one weekly service on Mondays between Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN) in Lusaka and Kasama Airport (KAA) in Kasama. Flights will commence on 01 April 2024. Kasama is located in the Northern Province of Zambia. The city is the gateway to the Shiwa Ng’andu Estate, the Kapishya Hot Springs, and Lake Tanganyika, the deepest lake in Africa as well as to the significant Mpulungu Port and the Kalambo Falls, the second-highest drop waterfall in Africa.
Zambian privately owned carrier Proflight Zambia will also launch a two-weekly service to Kasama on 19 March 2024.
