Namibia's Vice President Dr. Nangolo Mbumba announced on the occasion of the 40th Covid-19 briefing on the national response measures on 14 February 2022 that the current Covid-19 public health measures have been reviewed and will be extended for a period of 30 days, from 16 February 2022 to 15 March 2022. According to the country's Minister of Health and Social Services Dr. Kalumbi Shangula the number of attendees at public gatherings has been adjusted from 200 to 500 persons per event.
