The Government of Zimbabwe has allowed all tourism activities in the country that were shut down as part of the measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus to resume full operations with immediate effect. This includes activities such as game drives, boat rides, bungee jumping, zip lining, helicopter rides, lion walks, elephant rides and all other registered tourism activities. Zimbabwe's Ministry of Tourismus has collaborated with various tourism stakeholders to develop specific health and safety guidelines, which need to be implemented by tour operators to ensure the safety of both clients and staff. Zimbabwe's tourism sector took the hardest hit from the outbreak of the coronavirus, which was first recorded in the country at the end of March 2020.
