update (11 Dec 2012): South Africa has a new low cost airline. Fly Go Air launched its first domestic flight between Gauteng and Mpumalanga on 10 Dec 2012. The airline's maiden flight departed from Lanseria International Airport in Johannesburg, landing at Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport .
According to business travel now, the new South African domestic carrier Fly Go Air will make its maiden flight on 10 Dec 2012. The airline will initially operate a three weekly service on board a Beechcraft 1900 from Lanseria International Airport in Johannesburg to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Fly Go Air will announce future routes in 2013. Previous rumours already named flights from Lanseria International Airport to Bloemfontein and George as well as from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) to Cape Town as possible future services of the new airline.
