Back in February 2012, Google announced that it will bring the Google Maps service Street View to Botswana. It took the internet giant a couple of months, but from now on anyone can travel virtually through Botswana via Street View. The service is currently covering the streets of Gaborone, Francistown, Maun and Kasane, the major highways and roads in the country as well as the Makgadikgadi Pan and the famous Chobe National Park. Following the launch of Street View in South Africa just before the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Botswana is only the second African country to be on Street View.
