South Africa's newest low-cost domestic airline, Velvet Sky, will add two Boeing B737-300 to its fleet to accommodate the increasing demand for its service on its two routes between Cape Town and Johannesburg, and Johannesburg and Durban.
The new aircraft will take to the skies at the end of August 2011.Velvet Sky has also added a McDonnell Douglas DC-9 aircraft from Global Aviation, which operates since 05 Aug 2011. Once the Boeings are operating, the DC-9 will service new routes, which are expected to open soon.
