The full scale emergency simulation exercise held at O.R. Tambo International Airport this morning was a success. The excercise is part of O. R. Tambo International Airport’s preparedness for aviation and other emergency situations at the airport. The goal of the exercise is to enable airport and community fire, security, medical,and other resources to join in an effective, coordinated response to airport emergencies.
The exercise was involving a crashed aircraft commenced at 3.30am this morning and included emergency services from across the province.
