Zambia’s liberal visa policy remains largely intact

Despite the increase in visa fees for certain travellers, Zambia continues to maintain one of Africa’s most liberal visa regimes. As of 2025, citizens of 167 countries are visa-exempt when travelling to Zambia.
For most international visitors, Zambia remains an accessible and traveller-friendly destination, particularly for those exploring the wider KAZA Transfrontier Conservation Area, including Victoria Falls, Chobe National Park, and Hwange National Park.

Travellers are advised to confirm visa requirements and applicable fees before departure, as immigration regulations may change without prior notice.
