Botswana reopens two border posts with South Africa after flooding!

The Botswana Unified Revenue Service (BURS) has announced the reopening of two key border posts between Botswana and South Africa as of 14 March 2025. The Pont Drift Border Post and Parr’s Halt Border Post (South Africa: Stockpoort Border Post) are now operational after a temporary closure due to flooding. However, at Pont Drift border post, only the cable car crossing is available, while vehicle movement remains suspended until river water levels recede. Travellers are advised to plan accordingly and stay updated on further developments.

Two border posts between Botswana and South Africa temporarily closed due to rising water levels!

The Botswana Unified Revenue Service (BURS) has announced the temporary closure of the Parr's Halt border post (South Africa: Stockpoort border post) and Bray border post between Botswana and South Africa due to rising water levels in the Limpopo and Molopo Rivers, respectively. Travellers are advised to use alternative border crossings. We’ll keep you updated!
