South African Airways cancels its direct service Johannesburg <> Buenos Aires (Argentina)
South Africa's flag carrier, South African Airways (SAA), will discontinue its own operated flights between Johannesburg and Buenos Aires in Argentina on 28 March 2014. Customers already holding ticketed reservations on the airline's direct services between the two destinations from 29 March 2014 onwards, will be re-accommodated via SAA’s São Paulo (Brazil) flights. South African Airways names declining passenger volumes and the current economic conditions as well as high fuel costs the main reasons why it decided to cancel the service.
