Namibia's President Dr. Hage G. Geingob announced on the occasion of the 45th Covid-19 briefing on the national response measures on 15 July 2022 that Namibia is now at a stage where it can lower the scale of investment in the fight against Covid-19. The Government of Namibia therefore decided to remove all restrictions imposed on account of Covid-19. The control of the Coronavirus disease in Namibia will now be carried out in the same way as was for Hepatitis E. However, foreign travellers are still required to present vaccination certificates against Covid-19 at Namibia's border posts similar to the requirement for travellers to produce certificates of vaccination against Yellow Fever in some other countries.
