South African privately-owned regional carrier Airlink is set to launch the first direct flights between Cape Town and Maputo in Mozambique. Effective 31 August 2022, the airline will operate three weekly return flights from Cape Town International Airport (CPT) in Cape Town and Maputo International Airport (MPM) in Maputo. Airlink will use its 37-seat Embraer 135 regional jets on the new route. Tickets are already on sale.
