update (09 March 2021): British Airways has further extended the cancellation of flights between the UK and South Africa. Flights between London Heathrow (LHR) in London and OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg will remain suspended until 17 May 2021, while flights between London and Cape Town International Airport (CPT) in Cape Town will not resume before 01 June 2021 (inclusive). Both dates are subject to further change.
The flag carrier airline of the United Kingdom, British Airways, has extended the cancellation of flights to South Africa. The airline is now planning to resume direct flights to Cape Town and Johannesburg in April 2021. According to British Airways' website, the next scheduled flight between London Heathrow (LHR) in London and Cape Town International Airport (CPT) in Cape Town as well as between London Heathrow (LHR) and OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg will take place on 15 April 2021.
