British airline Virgin Atlantic is planning to resume operations between Heathrow Airport (LHR) in London and OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg. Effective 15 September 2020, the airline plans to gradually reintroduce flights. This date is dependent on the relevant government approval. Virgin Atlantic will initially offer three weekly return flights on board a brand-new Airbus A350-1000 aircraft to Johannesburg with the same overnight schedule that was operated prior to lockdown. Subject to demand, the airline will slowly ramp the service back up to a daily schedule. We'll keep you posted!
