The Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) is set to close the M2 motorway between the Crown Interchange and Maritzburg Street in Johannesburg due to structural defects of the Karsene and Selby sections of the M2 bridge. The closure will beginn on 28 February 2019 and is expected to last until October 2019. The closure of the motorway will affect several on-ramps, which will have to be closed, and affected motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.
