South Africa's flag carrier, South African Airways, and the second largest Indian airline, Jet Airways, will enter into a code share agreement . The agreement comes into effect from 18 April 2013 and will allow the airlines to book its passengers on its partner carriers and provide seamless transport to multiple destinations where it has no presence.
Under the arrangement South African Airways will codeshare on Jet Airways’ domestic operations between Mumbai and Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram, while Jet Airways will codeshare on South African Airways’ flights between Mumbai and Johannesburg and beyond to Cape Town and Durban.
Jet Airways suspended its South African operations in June 2012.
