Namibia: Fees payable for admission to protected places/heritage sites set to increase!

According to Government Gazette of the Republic of Namibia No. 8206, the fees payable at protected places and heritage sites in Namibia are set to increase from next year. This includes, amongst others, the Twyfelfontein main site, the Petrified Forest, the Brandberg White Lady, the Königstein, Zieben Platen, Lake Otjikoto and the Hoba Meteorite. The fees will increase with effect from 01 April 2024 to 30 April 2025.

Twyfelfontein Main Site only:

• International Visitors (18 years and above) N$270/person for a guided tour
• SADC Nationals (18 years and above) N$100/person for a guided tour
• Namibians (18 years and above) N$80/person for a guided tour

Petrified Forest:

• International Visitors (18 years and above) N$270/person for a guided tour
• SADC Nationals (18 years and above) N$100/person for a guided tour
• Namibians (18 years and above) N$80/person for a guided tour

ZiebenPlaten Site only, or Organ Pipes and Burnt Mountain only:

• International Visitors (18 years and above) N$250/person for a guided tour
• SADC Nationals (18 years and above) N$80/person for a guided tour
• Namibians (18 years and above) N$60/person for a guided tour

Lake Otjikoto:

• International Visitors (18 years and above) N$250/person for a guided tour
• SADC Nationals (18 years and above) N$80/person for a guided tour
• Namibians (18 years and above) N$60/person for a guided tour

Hoba Meteorite:

• International Visitors (18 years and above) N$250/person for a guided tour
• SADC Nationals (18 years and above) N$80/person for a guided tour
• Namibians (18 years and above) N$60/person for a guided tour

Brandberg White Lady, Jochman and White Giraffe Cave:

• International Visitors (18 years and above) N$270/person for a guided tour
• SADC Nationals (18 years and above) N$100/person for a guided tour
• Namibians (18 years and above) N$80/person for a guided tour

Brandberg Hiking (requires a permit)

• International Visitors:
• All other gorges N$700 pp/d
• Köningstein (Königstein) N$2400 pp
