Belgian charter airline Air Belgium will cancel all its scheduled passenger flights from October 2023 and will instead focus on cargo and wet lease operations. The airline, which is operating flights between Brussels Airport (BRU) in Brussels and Cape Town International Airport (CPT) in Cape Town via OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg, has filed for judicial reorganisation by way of amicable agreement. Air Belgium will end its South Africa service on 02 October 2023 with its flight from Cape Town to Johannesburg and onwards to Brussels. Flights scheduled after 03 October 2023 and already paid for by passengers will be cancelled and reimbursed as a matter of priority in the scope of the proceedings.
