The national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Gulf Air, is now offfering flights to Nairobi in Kenya. The inaugural flight took off from Bahrain International Airport on 05 July 2011.
The airline is running two return flights to Nairobi a week and is operating an Airbus A320 in a two-class configuration of 16 seats in Falcon Gold and 120 in Economy, and has the capacity to carry four tons of freight to the Kenyan capital.
Gulf Air operates scheduled services to more than 40 destinations in 30 countries across Africa, Asia and Europe. The airline's main base is Bahrain International Airport. The airline is part of the Oneworld global airline alliance. It has extensive codeshare agreements with other airlines.
